Electrical & Energy Reduction
We utilize Solar photovoltaic (PV), wind turbines, and solar thermal to generate energy for the building systems. By continually refining our processes, we’ve achieved a remarkable 10% annual reduction in wasted energy. In addition, we contract with a renewable energy provider to supply 35% of the building’s electricity with renewable sources.
Recycling Program
We have recycled over a staggering 100,000 pounds of paper, aluminum, plastic, and glass.
Water Reduction Program
We actively promote responsible water usage. Our landscaping practices prioritize sustainability by eliminating the use of potable water for irrigation. Instead, we embrace native and drought-resistant plantings.

Responsible Care®, a global chemical industry initiative, endorsed by all ACC members, underscores a voluntary commitment to the safe handling of products across their lifecycle. Originating within the chemical sector, Responsible Care promotes safety from product development in research labs, through manufacturing and distribution, to final disposal, all while engaging the public in decision-making processes.
Responsible Care mandates that member companies externally verify their Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management Systems and continuously enhance their performance. This involves actively addressing public concerns, fostering mutual support for optimal performance, and transparently communicating goals and progress. Cedar Concepts adheres to the ACC Responsible Care Management System® (RCMS) at its U.S. sites.
